Renault unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show their new Captur concept. Continuing the design theme that was first seen on the DeZir concept, the convertible coupe has butterfly doors, LED lighting units, and 22-inch alloy wheels with painted accents. According to Julio Lozano, "In designing [the] Captur, I began with the image of a sprinter on the starting blocks, muscles tensed, and of the energy unleashed when the starting pistol is fired." For the interior, Renault went with a string theme which can be seen in the seats and rear cargo area which doubles as a hammock. Additionally, there's a translucent dashboard, aluminum pedals, and a head-up display system. Under the hood, power is provided by a twin-turbo Energy dCi 160 engine which produces 160 PS (118 kW / 158 hp) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to an EDC transmission, which enables the Captur to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.0 seconds and hit a top speed of 211 km/h (131 mph).
