Volkicar, a pure racing car, project, development activities and production of which are implemented by Mr. Volkan Isik as a rally legend of Turkey, came to light. Despite its robust structure, while Volkicar guarantees high performance through its powerful engine, it is asserted that it shall become a milestone in history of Turkish motor sports.

Mr. Volkan Isik, who carries the title as most successful rally pilot in history of Turkish motor sports in international context, put his signature to first authentic racing car of Turkey. While the racing car called VOLKICAR is designed completely by Turkish engineers, its development activities are realized by Mr. Volkan Isik and his team. First version of VOLKICAR created by an activity for 2 years from first drafts and production bears V1 logo.

Mr. Volcan Isik, who made a speech in VOLKICAR’s introductory meeting, underlined that motor sports could not be improved at an identical acceleration as Turkish automotive sector as an integral part of the sector. Mr. Volkan Isik said that Motor sports were a significant sector in economical and social sense in developed countries, and stated they aimed to create a Turkish brand through VOLKICAR in motor sports. With Deltasport organization owned by him, he caused to race averagely 50 sportsmen yearly and supported 500 sportsmen in Turkish motor sports in a decade. Mr. Isik, who endeavors to extend motor sports to the bottom, introduced 1500 people with this sport in the "First Step to Rally Seminar organized interruptedly by him for 9 years.

Mr. Volkan Isik described that sport needed to be extended to the bottom principally and a racing opportunity needed to be provided with reasonable budgets for motor sports to become a real sector, and said "Requirement of Turkey, which has a trouble on racetracks, includes racing cars, which have top level capability in terms of watching pleasure and challenge in size to race even in small areas. Mr. Isik added that this reflected to VOLKICAR.

Mr. Volkan Isik said that he shared the VOLKICAR project stated by him in August, 2008 first with Mr. Halid Avdagic and then Mr. Enes Elver also joined to this project. Mr. Isik summarized this process that "We implemented any experiences I obtained from all race cars I driven up to now and completed the car we targeted within 5 months. This process was a very exciting. We worked day and night excitingly. After we completed first prototype, we focused on anything we desire to do first with VOLKICAR for a while. After 6 months, we focused completely on the project and car and began to work with my team to finalize the car I targeted. Now, we reached a capacity to produce VOLKICAR.

Mr. Isik said that he developed VOLKICAR by considering any worldwide specimens in terms of price, driving capacities, watching pleasure and quality and intends to export race cars through VOLKICAR project. Mr. Volcan Isik, who obtains support of Lassa for tires and support of CMS for rims at a development phase, explained that he aimed at realizing funny races with specific racing format with VOLKICAR on asphalt raceway.

Chassis of VOLKICAR that is prepared in accordance with the FIA (Federation of International Automobile) rules has a tubular structure. Its safety guard made of 42 mm and 32 mm steel rolled pipes keeps the driver’s safety at top level. Mr. Volkan Isik, who said that, although VOLKICAR, lower frame and upper frame of which are made of composite plastic, had a robust structure, Yamaha motorcycle engine having a 115 HP a power was preferred due to its high performance, aims to manufacture 60 VOLKICAR cars yearly.

Who is Volkan Isik?
The motor sports career of Volkan Isik, who was born in Istanbul in 1967, commenced by the Ali Sipahi Rally in 1989. He became the Champion of Turkey Rally in 1995 and ranked 2nd in the championship in 1996. He ranked 3rd in the European Rally Championship in 1997 and ranked 1st in the Turkey Rally, the Siliven Rally and the YU Rally. He ranked 1st in the FIA Team Cup in 1998 and in the same year ranked 10th in the Akropolis Rally. In the year 1999, he ranked 2nd in the World Rally Championship FIA Team Cup, while he ranked 6th in the Chinese Rally and 7th in the Portugal Rally. He ranked 1st in the Anatolian Rally in 2000 and he finished the F3 Category of Turkey Rally Championship in 2002, the Category of Super 1600 in 2003 and 2005 as the leader and ranked 2nd in 2004 and 2005. He became the Turkey Rally Champion in 2003 and managed to rank 1st in the Elpa Rally in 2007 and 2nd in the European Rally Championship and 3rd in 2008. He was a team director of the Lassa Rally Team and Yurtici Cargo Rally Team, which were established in 2007 and he had those teams he directed experience important successes. In the year 2010, he ranked 3rd in two of the 4 rallies he participated in the Italian Soil Rally Championship by the Lassa Rally Team, the director and the pilot of which he was.

The Initials In His Career:
-The first Turkish pilot ranking the 6th in the general classification in the Chinese Rally, who got the first and the only point in the World Championship.
-The first Turkish pilot who ranked 2nd in the European Rally Championship.
-The first Turkish pilot who ranked the first in the 20 coefficient’ race in the European Rally Championship
- The founder of the Delta Sport, which was the first in Turkish motor sports with its services and applications.
-The first racer in the Turkish motor sports who developed racing tire.
-The first pilot who gave rally education while racing actively.
-The first Turkish pilot invited to the Championship of Champions which took place in Canary Islands.
